North Melbourne Football Club Terms and Conditions

All North Melbourne Football Club (Club) memberships are subject to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Purchase of Membership

If you are successful in your membership application, the Club will issue you a email within 7 business days. Your mobile membership card will be activated before the start of the 2025 Toyota AFL season. Members who join during the season will be able to access the mobile membership card (or match entry ticket) prior to the next home game.

The Club reserves its right not to accept any membership application form in its absolute discretion.

  1. Term of Membership

Subject to the following terms and conditions, your membership will entitle you to the benefits of membership from receipt of your membership payment to 31 October 2025.

  1. Membership Benefits and Entitlements

Any entitlements or benefits (including those listed below at item 4) that form part of a Club membership must be taken as offered, are not exchangeable or transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash. In the event that any of the entitlements or benefits, or any part of them, are unavailable or unable to be provided for any reason, the Club reserves the right to substitute a benefit or entitlement of equal or greater value. Any monetary value of a benefit or entitlement listed on the Club website or marketing material is the recommended retail value of those benefits or entitlements at the time of publishing. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the benefits and entitlements. Any incidental costs relating to the benefits or entitlements are the responsibility of the membership holder.

  1. Membership Categories

    2. Membership Classifications and Concessions
      1. Family

Access family memberships are available for two adults and up to four juniors or youths (under the age of 18). Reserved seat family memberships (In accordance with item 4) are available for two adults and up to two juniors or youths (under the age of 18). Additional juniors or youths can be added a reserved seat membership at an additional cost.

  1. Junior

To be eligible for a junior membership, the applicant must be 5 years of age or more and under the age of 15 as at 1 January 2025. Juniors aged 4 and under at January 1, 2025 are entitled to attend matches without a Club membership, however they must not occupy a seat.

  1. Student

Student concession is available to people studying full-time in 2025. Your membership application/renewal form must be accompanied by a copy of your 2025 student card or a photocopy of a stamped, receipted 2025 enrolment form from your education institution.

  1. Pensioner

Pensioner concession is available to people holding a 2025 pensioner concession card issued by Centrelink, the Department of Health and Community Services, the Department of Community Services or the Department of Veteran Affairs. A Heath Care or Health Benefit card will not be accepted. Your membership application/renewal form must be accompanied by a photocopy of your pension card. Pension cards must be valid for the duration of the 2025 football season.

  1. Toyota AFL Finals Series entitlements

Each member’s access to the Toyota AFL Finals Series matches will be determined in accordance with their respective membership category and corresponding entitlements. Please refer to the terms of your particular membership for further detail. The Club will communicate information relating to members’ access to Toyota AFL Finals Series matches in late August should the Club be participating in the Toyota AFL Finals Series.

  1. Member Choice

In 2025, eligible members will receive a $30 Roo Shop voucher to either select one (1) of the two-member choice items available. Your selection is final and cannot be changed/altered.

It is the members responsibility to ensure their Member Choice item is collected from one of the eligible locations mentioned below.

All records containing Member Choice selection are collected and used by the North Melbourne Football Club in accordance with its privacy Policy.

Member Choice items will be available until stock is depleted. Once sold out an item will be unavailable and cannot be selected as part of member Choice.

As a General policy, Member Choice items are not eligible for exchange.

If you believe your 2025 Member Choice item is damaged or received the wrong item, any requests for replacement/exchange must be made in writing and are at the discretion of the North Melbourne Football Club Membership Manager.

  1. Roo Shop Voucher

Receive a $30 Roo shop voucher. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, vouchers cannot be stacked, expiry date 31st October 2025. The $30 can be used as credit for anything in the Roo Shop or used to redeem the 2025-member scarf or 2025-member cap. Member will be sent their $30 voucher code within 2 weeks of joining/renewing for 2025. Member must present this code to redeem their item either in person on game day at the Roo Shop OR online at shop.nmfc.com.au

  1. Transfer of Membership Cards

Club members may transfer their digital membership (or tickets) to a family member or friend providing that family member or friend is at the equivalent level of entry. Concession and Junior members who transfer their membership card or tickets to an adult will be refused entry and will have their ticket confiscated at the gates. The ticket will not be returned to the member and a replacement fee (to be advised by the Club) will apply for the issue of a new Membership card.

  1. No Onselling

Club memberships and Club reserve tickets may not, without the prior written consent of the Club, be onsold (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is onsold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission. Penalties apply (including cancellation of any offending member’s Club membership without a refund).

  1. MCC and AFL Member Upgrades
    1. AFL Members may nominate a club of support and by doing so consent to the AFL providing their personal details to that club, so they may contact you, for example in relation to membership pack fulfilment and finals access. AFL Members who have nominated a club of support may purchase a club reserved seat membership upgrade.
    2. MCC members may purchase a club upgrade via the Club or Melbourne Cricket Club.
  1. Payment

Payment of your Club membership fee may be made in one of two ways:

  1. Full Payment: Your full membership fee can be paid via any one of the following methods: VISA, MasterCard, Cheque, Cash or EFTPOS.
  2. EasyPay (Auto Renewal): All memberships purchased online will automatically join Easy Pay. Your membership payments are as follows:
    1. Payments will be deducted in 10 equal instalments on the 15th of each month (or the first business day after the 15th) beginning on October 15 via a nominated VISA or MasterCard only.
    2. By signing with the Auto Renewal, you authorise the Club to arrange a debit of funds from your nominated credit card in amounts and at intervals as advised.
    3. All members on the EasyPay are automatically included into an Auto Renewal Agreement, facilitating automatic rollover of your memberships from year to year.
    4. Members can unsubscribe from EasyPay with ease for the following season by contacting 1300 526 427 on or before the 11th of October 2024.
    5. Members will be given at least 7 days’ notice in writing or via electronic communications (email) of changes in the new amount of their next season's membership and to the terms of the Auto Renewal agreement.
    6. The first instalment will be withdrawn on October 15, with further payments on the 15th of each following month. If any payment fails to transfer between institutions on the 15th, further attempts will be made to attempt to clear the fund transfer. Payments that decline will be recharged and may incur an additional processing fee.
    7. Members applying for EasyPay after the first scheduled payment will have the number of required payments deducted to bring them up to date with the schedule and then subsequent payments at each specified date.
    8. If your debit is returned or dishonoured by your financial institution, a email will be sent requesting immediate payment. Any fees levied to you by your financial institution will be payable to you.
    9. The Club may suspend or cancel your membership if, on two consecutive occasions, your drawing is dishonoured by your financial institution. We will notify you by email if we suspend or cancel your EasyPay arrangement.
    10. It is your responsibility to ensure that: (a) the account details you have provided are correct, including notification should the expiry date change within the 10-month program; (b) you have sufficient clear funds available in the nominated account on the scheduled drawing date.
    11. If your membership is suspended or cancelled, you will not be able to gain access to any matches during the Premiership Season or the Toyota AFL Finals Series.
    12. If you believe that a withdrawal has been initiated incorrectly, please contact Membership Services on 1300 KANGAS (1300 526 427). You will receive a full refund of the withdrawal amount if we cannot substantiate the reason for drawing.
  1. GST and Levies

Except where expressly noted, all prices include GST and any applicable venue levy.

  1. Refund Policy

As a general policy, Club memberships are non-refundable. Requests for refunds may be made in writing and are at the sole discretion of the Membership Manager.

  1. Cancellation of Membership by Club Policy

The Club reserves its right to cancel a member’s membership without a refund where that member is deemed by the Club to have breached these terms and conditions (including where that member attempts to transfer or sell their membership and/or associated benefits). Once a membership is cancelled, all entitlements and benefits associated with that membership are revoked.

  1. Club Member Code of Conduct

While barracking and supporting your club is a vital part of the game, offensive or aggressive behaviour (including yelling and swearing when dealing with Club staff, agents or AFL or other event staff) will not be tolerated. Club members who consume alcohol on a match day are to do so responsibly. Drunkenness will not be tolerated. Club members who breach the behaviour code of conduct may face penalties including cancellation of membership without refund. The Club endorses the AFL’s stance on vilification and has a zero-tolerance for members or supporters that abuse players, officials, supporters, or umpires on grounds of race, religion, gender and sexuality.

  1. Variation to Club Membership Terms and Conditions

The Club may from time to time where reasonably necessary vary the terms and conditions of Club membership. The Club will communicate any change to its membership terms and conditions via the Club website or email. Members will have no claim against the Club by reason of any change made to the terms and conditions of Club membership.

  1. General Stadium Rules

Club members must adhere to all rules and restrictions imposed by the venues attended by the Club member. All venues are smoke-free. Patrons are not permitted to bring alcohol into any venue and must adhere to strict restrictions placed on alcohol consumption in designated areas at all venues. Umbrellas are not permitted to be opened anywhere within viewing areas at any time on match day.

  1. Lost or Stolen Memberships Cards

Membership cards remain the property of the Club. If a Club membership card is lost or stolen, please contact Membership Services on 1300 KANGAS (526 427) and the Club will then issue a replacement membership card subject to receipt of the replacement card fee of $10 per card for all memberships. The card will be replaced at no cost upon provision if a police report or statutory declaration detailing the theft.

  1. Lost or Reissue of Junior Member Packs

If a Club membership pack is lost or stolen, please contact Membership Services on 1300 KANGAS (526 427) and the Club may issue a replacement membership pack subject to receipt of the replacement/reissue fee of $30 per membership pack. The pack will be replaced at no cost upon provision if a police report or statutory declaration detailing the theft.

  1. Cancellation of Membership by Member policy

17.1 Exchanges or refunds are not available on memberships or additional products purchased

17. 2 In exceptional circumstances, requests for refunds may be made in writing and are at the sole discretion of the Club’s membership managers. If cancellation requests are made after the fulfilment packs/items have been issued, the membership product will not be cancelled or refunded.

17. 3 Should a refund be granted; a cancellation fee of $25 will be applicable and will be deducted or withheld from the refund amount. In the event that an outstanding balance remains at year’s end, the balance will remain owing on the member’s account and must be paid in full prior to rejoining.

17.4 If a member wishes to cancel their membership, an email must be sent to Membership Services to membership@nmfc.com.au or a written letter can be sent via post to PO Box 158, North Melbourne VIC 3051 or dropped off in person at Arden St reception. As a general policy, Club Memberships and Membership Packages are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled by the Member.

  1. Hardship Policy

Financial hardship is often unexpected, can be short or long-term, and often comes as a result of a change in personal circumstances, such as injury, illness, loss of income, domestic violence or a death in the family.

Members facing these circumstances may qualify for special assistance. To request financial relief please contact Membership Services on 1300 526 427 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm AEST or via membership@nmfc.com.au Our priority will be to find a solution that meets your needs.

Eligibility for refunds will be assessed on a case by case basis according to the value of benefits already received at the date of the request.

Members applying for financial relief may be asked to provide supporting documentation. Information provided will not be stored by the North Melbourne Football Club. It will be treated sensitively and remain strictly confidential.

Options available in instances of hardship include:

i. Request to pause monthly payments, until you’re back on track

ii. Partial refunds

iii. Request to adjust interim payment terms

When contacting our Membership Services team your safety is our priority. If you identify as being in a domestic or family violence situation, our staff will check if it is safe to continue the call or correspondence before proceeding.

  1. Membership Promotions

North Melbourne Football Club have the ability to introduce new promotions and offers to members. Any member who has purchased prior to these offers will not be able to request a refund for membership or have the promotion apply to their membership

  1. Members’ Privacy

All personal information will be used, and may be disclosed, by the Club (including for promotional and marketing purposes) in accordance with the AFL and AFL Club Privacy Policy available at www.afl.com.au/privacy or https://www.nmfc.com.au/privacy-policy. By providing your personal information you agree to such use and disclosure by the Club and confirm you have read and agree to be bound by the AFL and AFL Club Privacy Policy.

  1. Telephone and Internet Renewals

Members may renew their Club membership over the telephone or online. By renewing over the telephone or online, you accept these terms and conditions of Club membership (as amended by from time to time by the Club).
